The Grays Anatomy
A selection of twelve short stories from the strange, and the slightly disturbed world of author Rob Shepherd. This book is not for the faint-hearted!
Rob Shepherd’s collection, THE GRAYS ANATOMY, reads like a beloved classic—a modern, updated literary companion akin to all those classic Hammer Horror films so many of us grew up loving. Delicious, dark, and unforgettable. Gregory L. Norris (Brutal Colours, Tales From The Robot Graveyard)
"These stories defy expectations. He populates his world with intensely creepy and wonderful creatures and deeply flawed people. He gives us terror in the familiar, and quite often the enemy is us. The resulting stories are reminiscent of Barker's visionary style in the Books of Blood. But Shepherd's tales are absolutely original, clever, and absorbing. A thoroughly satisfying read!" Michael Schutz - Author (Edging)
"Wow....I was absolutely blown away by this cool, creepy collection of tales by author Rob Shepherd. I have already read a lot of his work and am a huge fan, so I knew that I would be getting something amazing from The Grays Anatomy, but it was better than I could have ever expected! I would recommend this to anyone - particularly fans of horror and the unexpected. You won't be disappointed!" Author, Samie Sands
I found this book to be very enjoyable due to the writer's unique perspective on the horror genre. I'm also not afraid to say some of that perspective has helped to inspire some of my own writing recently, which I think is a good thing. It is difficult to choose a favorite story from the bunch. They're just that good! Bjae Ballard
Fantastic. Disgusting. Creepy. Addictive. Well worth every penny I spent on buying this quite excellent selection of short stories from the pen of Mr. Rob Shepherd. I'm not normally one for reading short stories, I tend to go for full-length novels, but I took a chance on this book. Wow, was I glad I took that chance. From the very first story (a unique take on the zombie genre, at least a style of which I've never read before) to the last story I was entranced by it all. I will definitely be buying more books by this author and I urge you to too. Mr. Paul S. Alexander
This talented man has such a way with writing that each story kept me intrigued. When I read a book of any genre I aim for a well-written story that can easily draw you in with characters & baseline & Rob Shepherd did just that. A page-turner is in my opinion few & far between & again, I don't come across that very often. I would highly recommend this book for many reasons. Hell, 12 stories in one book that can bring some twists, gritty & interest in mind. I truly look forward to reading more of his work & art because it truly is just that....amazing art! Author, S.k. Ballinger

Dark Worlds
"I LOVE this collection of sick, macabre stories. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop until I got to the end...and even then I was left wanting more. I highly recommend this book, particularly Body of Evidence - wow! but be prepared. You're in for a sick ride." ~ Author, Samie Sands
"The wonderfully dark Rob Shepherd has done it again. This time he offers up a collection of short horror tales that all interweave and connect and all satisfy. He has a wonderful talent for writing stories that have a substantial underlying complexity, a depth beyond words that make the stories so much more than what you read. They transport you and swallow you up. Dark Worlds not only entertains but it scares. It reminds you that there are some very twisted people out there with questionable morality. Each story is short enough to get through in little sittings, but together they create a book of substance." ~ Author, Anthony Redden
"Welcome to the dark possibilities and dangerous desires of the Majique. Each of the haunting stories in Dark Worlds connects to Rob Shepherd’s Majique Mythos.
Dark Worlds is 6 tales in the Lovecraftian tradition of the dark unseen that moves in the space between want and obsession, which drives people to the uncharacteristic unspeakable, that which renders regret hopeless. These are dark and haunting stories that move your emotions and fill you with dread.
While all connected, literally and figuratively part of one book, these impactful tales are all different from one another. Each has unique, compelling characters and storylines. Their commonality is only the Majique and that which is part of it. Shepherd even uses a varying style with each story. The effect is an artistically delightful counterpoint to the horrors therein.
While Dark Worlds has a healthy helping of shock factor and gruesomeness, there is no graphic horror or extreme horror here. These are in the vein of Lovecraft and Poe; horrific, intelligent, poetic; the dark heart of man meets the darkness beyond. Rob Shepherd’s eloquence with horror never fails to impress!
As a personal side note… Isn’t that cover art just infrikkencredible?" ~ Bibliophilia Templum
"The Master captures us once again.
The Intro is detailed and thought out with precision and a twisted eloquence.
Majique- An immortal terror
Bang Bang- Descriptive guilt of self-torture
Faolan- Teaching the lesson to do not try to take what is not yours, the hard way
Faceless- Be careful what you want to know for knowledge comes with a price
Body of Evidence - Perfection. "Releasing the perfect body of its' fleshy prison". Love it! A sick twist makes one smile
The Book of Quinn- Sometimes the thing you want most to possess, possess you." ~ Author, Katie Jaarsveld
